Margaret Lang, a partner at Russel and Aitken in Falkirk, has will provide input to the company law unit of the Diploma in Legal Practice course at the University of Stirling in its inaugural year.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to support the local university, and I’m very keen to be in contact with people seeking to join the profession; we will also benefit from interaction with the academics,” she said.
Professor Fraser Davidson, Head of School of Law at University of Stirling, said: “Given that the programme emphasises the acquisition of the practical knowledge and skills required to be a lawyer, it will be taught by eminent legal professionals such as Margaret Lang. The School of Law is looking forward to working with Margaret and the other tutors, and we are very grateful that they should be prepared to assist us in this way. We believe that we and our students will benefit immensely from the knowledge and experience they will bring.”
Lang is a court partner for the firm and a family law practioner.
