Stephen McGowan, winner of the "Paralegal of the Year" at this year’s Law Awards of Scotland in Association with Registers of Scotland has joined Tods Murray as a trainee solicitor in the firm’s Glasgow office.

McGowan, who joins Tods Murray from R&JM Hill Brown & Co, was aslo presented with the Chairman's Award, the recipient of which is selected by the chair of the judges' panel, Janet Hood.

"I’ve always been very focused about what I want to achieve, but the last month has been quite incredible," he said.

"The awards are a fantastic endorsement for the work I have put in so far, yet joining Tods Murray now opens new doors of opportunity.”

David Dunsire, Executive Partner for Tods Murray added that he was delighted McGowan had joined the firm.

"His determination to succeed in the legal profession is abundantly clear and I hope that he will enjoy his time with us,” he said.
