Service rewarded as former Crown Office trainee promoted to area PF
A former trainee who joined the Crown Office ten years ago has been promoted to the post of District Procurator Fiscal for Greenock and Rothesay.
The Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini announced the appointment of Laura McPherson, who at 32 years old is one of the youngest District Procurator Fiscals in Scotland.
"She has the respect of her colleagues and a drive and enthusiasm for the role which will make her a great asset to the existing team in Greenock," Angiolini said.
"Although we already have effective relationships in place with our criminal justice partners in the area, we can never be complacent, and Laura will build on those to assist us in delivering justice and bring benefits to the local communities."
