Solicitors from Ledingham Chalmers LLP and human resources specialists from the Urquhart Partnership are to hold an event focusing on employment tribunals at the Hilton Treetops Hotel, Aberdeen on Wednesday, November 5.
The event will utilise a realistic scenario which will follow unfolding events - from an initial workplace incident, through the response of the HR manager and his/her investigations, the subsequent findings and the eventual application to the tribunal itself.
"The consequences of facing an application to an employment tribunal can be considerable for any employer, no matter its size, or claimant," said Lili Hunter, employment law partner at Ledingham Chalmers.
“Time lost through preparations and the associated cost of any subsequent award to the employee, as well as solicitors’ costs is inevitable – not to mention the knock-on effect to the firm’s reputation and workplace morale.”
Ledingham Chalmers aid that workplace disputes and employment tribunal claims cost British business £33billion a year.
