The Law Society of Scotland and Scottish Legal Aid Board 's annual legal aid conference opens this week on Friday November 7, running for two days at 

Kenny MacAskill will address the delegates on current issues facing legal aid practitioners. Sessions will include summary criminal justice reform, summary criminal legal assistance reform, quality assurance in criminal work and civil fees, with reference to exceptional cases. There will also be a session on Legal Aid on-line and the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission.
