Terra Firma's Brown goes to Holyrood

Eric Brown, advocate with Terra Firma Chambers is stepping down as a practicing advocate to pursue an unspecified secondment for the Scottish government.

Terra Firma said that Brown "has become a non-practising member of the Faculty of Advocates in order to take up an appointment with the Scottish Government in which he has been seconded to the Scottish Parliament."

"All members of Terra Firma Chambers wish him well in his new post," they added.

At the same time, Terra Firma's ranks are to be swelled with the addition of James Findlay QC, Walter Mercer and Steven Walker to the group.

Findlay practiced as a barrister in London and took silk earlier this year. Walter Mercer has been an advocate since 2000, and Steven Walker was admitted to the Scottish Bar in 1999.
