Accreditations awarded at Signet Ceremony

Certificates in commercial property and corporate practice were conferred on the second tranche of candidates who had achieved the Signet Accrediation at a ceremony held at the Signet Library last night.

Lord Cullen of Whitekirk, chair of the Signet Accreditation introduced Lord Mackay, the Keeper of the Signet who handed out certificates to the successful candidates in what is the second year of the Signet Accreditation, introduced at the WS by Chief Executive Robert Pirrie, after a fact finding trip to the Law Institute of Victoria in Australia.

Deputy Keeper Caroline Docherty was also in attendance, together with former Deputy John Elliot, as well as office bearer James Rust, Janet Hood of BII who assisted in the development of the in house accreditation, and Susan Lindgren of Tods Murray.

Accreditation is now available in Commercial Property, Commercial Litigation, Corporate and In house, with further practice areas scheduled to be announced during 2009.
