A MOTHER who allowed her 14-year-old daughter to sleep with a man eight years her senior was condemned by a sheriff yesterday.
The woman was accused of a "serious dereliction of parental responsibility" for letting the schoolgirl have sex with Daniel Balfour.

Scotland's property management industry will be allowed to police itself even though "the market is not working well for consumers", the Office of Fair Trading has recommended. Factors will only face the threat of a statutory scheme which could see them barred from operating if self-regulation fails, the OFT added.
