It has been reported that DLA Piper will lose a further 20 jobs in Scotland as it makes a further series of redundancies, following a series of job losses in 2008.

"We expect up to 140 people across our eight UK locations to be affected by this consultation process. Sadly, in Scotland this process is likely to affect approximately 20 people across our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices," a DLA spokesman has said. 

Managing partner Bruce Westbrook said that five forthcoming promotions indicated "another strong year for DLA Piper in Scotland."
