Pinsent Masons' Stuart Barr has been promoted to partner, alongside colleagues Louise Forster and Graeme Fyfe, both promoted to "Legal Director".

Pinsent Masons recently introduced the appellation as an alternative to partnership, a move which indicates the general professional drift ahead of the increasing costs of practising certificates and the imminence of alternative business structures. Across the UK and Asia, the firm has promoted 12 people to the role of Legal Director. The role was introduced as an "alternative" to partnership last year.

Nick Thow has also been promoted to Senior Associate.

The firm has also promoted 8 staff to partner level, 24 people to Senior Associate and 14 to Associate.
