Perth Sheriff Court heard yesterday that 37 year old Karen Wildish slashed her friend Michael Sheriff across the face and neck with a knife because he switched the TV to a different channel.
The attack took place at her home in Scone on 19 December last year, but Wildish walked free from court after Sheriff pled for mercy on her behalf. She was sentenced to three years probation.
Sheriff was left with a 7cm wound across his face and neck
"Since the incident Karen has shown nothing but remorse and I feel she has been punished enough," Sheriff told the court.
"She is a kind and generous person. As I am the victim I hope you can take my feelings into account."
It is not known what programme Sheriff switched over from at the time, although the BBC's well received one off drama "Sherlock", starring Martin Freeman and Rupert Graves was on that night.
