By-election for Law Society Council seat as Way resigns to take up Sheriff's post
The Law Society is inviting Edinburgh solicitors to stand for election to become a member of the Law Society of Scotland's Council, following the resignation of George Way.
Way was appointed as a Sheriff in April, leaving a vacancy for his seat on the Council for the Sheriff Court District of Edinburgh.
A by-election will be held on Wednesday, 19 August.
