Ledingham Chalmers backs northern cyclists

Ledingham Chalmers have supported Aberdeen's Granite City Racing Team with a sponsorship tie-in worth £5,000 over two years.

The deal is aimed at covering race equipment costs and supporting membership of national governing body, Scottish Cycling. Ledingham Chalmers solicitor Veli-Matti Raikkonen is part of the team. The twice winner of the Etape Caledonia is indeed related to his namesake, former F1 champion Kimi.

“We are very pleased to be supporting Granite City RT over the next two years, and of course to recognise the superb achievements of our own Veli-Matti Raikkonen," said David Laing, chairman of Ledingham Chalmers.

“Cycling squads around Aberdeen City and Shire are widely known and recognised for their efforts nationally and we hope that the arrival of the new kit, which the first instalment of our sponsorship has provided, will spur on Granite City RT to enjoy further success.”
