Terra Firma take expertise on tour

Terra Firma advocates' chambers are touring Scotland to provide a series of CPD seminars across the country.

During November they will be staging evening seminars in Inverness, Aberdeen and Dundee.

“We are very committed to introducing ourselves, and cementing existing relationships, with legal practices across the country," said practice manager Emma Potter.

"The best means of achieving this aim is not to invite solicitor colleagues to come and see us in Edinburgh but to get out and about and stage seminars where they are most convenient for busy lawyers. We will be in Inverness, Aberdeen and Dundee and we hope that colleagues from the solicitor branch of the profession will drop by for the talks, or the receptions, or hopefully both!”

The seminar dates and topics are as follows:

Ramada Inverness Hotel – Wednesday November 4
Robert Sutherland, Advocate - Access Rights: Lessons from the Case Law
Alasdair Burnet, Advocate - Judicial Review Update (A consideration of recent developments in judicial review both north and south of the Border)

Society of Advocates in Aberdeen, Advocates Hall – Thursday November 12
Stephen O’Rourke, Advocate – Sale of Goods and Insurance Law update
Stuart Gale QC – Judicial Review Update

RSS Discovery, Discovery Point, Dundee – Thursday, November 19
David Logan, Advocate – Recall or Protecting Diligence on the Dependence, the new rules
Peter Grant-Hutcheson, Advocate - Employment Law, the Shape of Things to Come
Stuart Gale QC – Judicial Review Update
