US representatives of those who lost loved ones on Pan Am 103 have spoken out as the three month mark passed following the release of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi.
Megrahi was released on compassionate grounds as it was anticipated that a life expectancy of three months was "reasonable," according to medical advice released by the Scottish Government.
Susan Cohen, who lost her daughter Theodora in the event, said Megrahi's present health was "sickening".
"He is in the hands of Libya and when he is dead, we want to see the body," she added.
"If he had been in Scotland, we would have at least believed it when told he was dead."
US Senator Charles Schumer called for Megrahi to be returned to Scotland.
"The bottom line is Megrahi should have never been released in the first place, but it would be even more outrageous if he were to be able to live a long and free life after his release,” he said in a statement.
“The victims of Pan Am Flight 103 didn’t get a second chance at life and neither should Megrahi. Justice in this case was life in prison, no exceptions.”
