The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners have appointed Lord Drummond Young QC as their inaugural judicial member, who will give an address at the reception to celebrate his assumption tonight.
Drummond Young has been the Chairman of the Scottish Law Commission since 2007.
“We are honoured to have such a high standing member of the judiciary within our membership. Lord Drummond Young brings over thirty years of legal experience to the Society, including nine as a member of the judiciary and shares the Society's aims to promote law reform and to promote Scotland as a jurisdiction which encourages the setting up of trusts,” said Branch Chair Alison Paul.
