"The Scottish Young Lawyers Association AGM will take place at 6pm on Tuesday 3 August 2010.

"In order to allow as many members as possible to attend, the AGM will be held in Glasgow at Burness Offices at 120 Bothwell Street and in Edinburgh at Digby Brown offices, 160 Causewayside, Newington and will be linked by video conference.

"All SYLA members are welcome, as is anyone interested in becoming a member. Membership of the SYLA is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate law students, trainees and solicitors up to 10 years qualified.

"The purpose of the AGM is to inform the membership of the major achievements of the last year and to elect a new committee for the year ahead. Four executive positions - President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary - and six non-executive committee positions will be open to nominations, which can be made on the evening.

"The SYLA are very keen to welcome new members to the committee as they enter their 30th year. Any enquiries regarding the AGM or becoming a member or a committee member should be sent to sylawebsite@hotmail.com. "
