Guardian Newspaper signs up for Open Justice experiment

The Guardian newspaper's dedicated legal section, Guardian Law, has thrown its heft behind the Open Justice social media programme which aims to capture a week in the life of the Scottish legal system.

This afternoon the organisers of the project confirmed that Guardian Law will be taking part and will deploy its staff to participate.

"Guardian Law, which has helped to pioneer tweeting from court and campaigns for greater openness in the justice system, will be dispatching writers to a range of courts as part of the project, and linking to some of the best writing on the blog," they said.

The Guardian Law, which appears on Twitter as @GdnLaw issues a daily legal report collating a variety of legal reporting and blogging online.
