Russell Jones & Walker, an English based solicitors firm with an office in Edinburgh, has stated that it intends to “dominate” the consumer legal market following its acquisition by Australian listed firm Slater & Gordon.

The new body is to apply to operate as an ABS structure, and has pledged to use "the full range of profile-raising tools, including television advertising" to establish what it describes as a true legal services brand.

Slater & Gordon specialises in personal injusry litigation. The entity has confirmed it aims to achieve market dominance by acquiring competitors.

“There are too many people clipping the ticket for too little value to the consumer,” said Andrew Grech, managing director of Slater & Gordon.
