Law firm Anderson Strathern is to open an office in Glasgow’s Buchanan Street early next month as it pursues its strategy to be the ‘best full-service law firm in Scotland’.
The office will be headed up by partners Andrew Lothian and Douglas Keir who currently head up the firm’s specialist insurance unit.
The announcement was made to the firm’s 230 staff at a presentation by the firm’s chairman Robert Carr in which he outlined his vision for the continued development of the firm.
Carr said: “We are excited about our new presence in Glasgow. The initial purpose of the office will be to serve the demands of our insurance industry clients. Our firm continues to grow and flourish and this move reflects this.
The firm is also poised to launch a new marketing campaign after appointing Union Direct as its advertising and design agency, following a competitive pitch process.
Union Direct, a sister company of The Union, will handle all of Anderson Strathern’s advertising and design output and will assist the Edinburgh law firm in its ongoing communications activity.
