Anderson Strathern is set to open an office in Glasgow this month, to be headed by partners Andrew Lothian and Douglas Keir, who head up the firm’s specialist liability insurance unit. The news of the new office, to be based in Glasgow’s Buchanan Street, came as the firm launched its new business plan to staff at its Edinburgh headquarters. Speaking of the developments chairman Robert Carr said: “We are excited about our new presence in Glasgow. The initial purpose of the office will be to serve the demands of our insurance industry clients. Our firm continues to grow and flourish and this move reflects this.\" Meanwhile, the firm has appointed a new advertising agency to handle its marketing. Union Direct, a sister company of The Union, will handle all of Anderson Strathern’s advertising and design output and will assist the Edinburgh law firm in its ongoing communications activity. Steve Jackson, marketing manager, at Anderson Strathern said: “There is a great deal of positive energy and enthusiasm within the firm and we are delighted to be working with Union Direct who will help us to continue to build on this energy and communicate our ambition to be the best full service law firm in Scotland.\"
