Biggart Baillie has bolstered its banking and finance team with the appointment of DLA Piper\'s former Head of banking and finance based in Hong Kong, Grant Docherty.
Docherty will focus on developing all of the firm\'s banking and finance lines including corporate banking and syndicated lending, property finance, asset finance, banking regulation and structured finance.
Grant trained in Scotland and left the country in 1990 to pursue his career in Hong Kong. He has built up over 15 years experience in the banking and finance sector working for the two largest commercial law firms in Hong Kong and latterly with DLA Piper. During this time he played a key role in a range of high profile Asian and international finance transactions.
