One of Scotland\'s leading business law firms CCW Business Lawyers has made a number of appointments. Alan Stalker and Michael Dewar have become partners at the Dunfermline-based firm while David Wylie is promoted from solicitor to associate status. Stalker attended university in Edinburgh and Montreal. He is qualified to practice in England and Wales as well as Scotland. His specialist areas of expertise include complicated contracts and dispute resolution. Dewar worked as a parliamentary adviser in London before entering the legal profession. He has degrees from the Universities of London and Edinburgh and is dual qualified as a solicitor in Scottish and English/Welsh jurisdictions. Main areas of practice include buying, selling and leasing of a wide variety of commercial premises with a particular interest in the leasing of new medical practices. Michael has tutored in Edinburgh University\'s Diploma property course since 2001, latterly on commercial leases. Since joining the firm in 2003, Wylie has honed his skills in the field of corporate law including acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, MBOs, MBIs, investment schemes and reorganisations. He trained as a solicitor in Glasgow and Edinburgh after graduating from Strathclyde University and Glasgow Graduate School of Law.
