Maclays acquires London Financial services compliance company
Maclay Murray & Spens (MMS) has acquired a majority shareholding in London-based financial services compliance company Leale-Green Limited (Leale-Green). The deal, which will see Leale-Green change its name to Regulatory Solutions Limited and use MMS Regulatory Solutions as its brand, will enhance the service offering for the firm’s clients, offer Leale-Green’s clients a seamless, one-stop compliance and legal service and provide MMS with access to an extensive and complementary client base in the financial services sector. MMS chief executive, Magnus Swanson said: “We see this move as a significant step in the development of our capability and presence in financial services in the City and throughout the UK. \"Leale-Green is a well-established and robust business, with a solid reputation. We believe the synergies created by integrating the compliance and regulatory service with the specialist legal expertise which MMS can provide, will offer substantial benefits to the clients of both organisations.” The founder of Leale-Green Alan Leale-Green will take on the pisition of chief executive of Regulatory Solutions Limited and will continue to play a role in the growth and development of the company. He said: “The company was founded seven years ago on the principle that enduring client relationships are created by employing experienced, dynamic professionals, providing a personalised service. In our discussions with MMS, it has become clear that these principles are also ingrained in the culture of our new partners. I am delighted that we will be able to extend the range of our service offering through this deal, while maintaining the quality of service and commitment to the client which have always been a hallmark of Leale-Green.”
