McGrigors breaks partnership record

Coming hot on the heels of recently taking over the well respected oil and gas team of Ledingham Chalmers, McGrigors has appointed two new partners in its corporate team, raising the number of partners across the firm to an all time high of 75.
Barry McCaig, and Kevin Devanny are the latest in a string of internal promotions to partner demonstrating the firm\'s ongoing commitment to develop the careers of its own lawyers. The appointments further strengthen the corporate team following international M&A specialist Scott Nelson\'s recent arrival from Kilpatrick Stockton.
The firm has also promoted two associates to director in the Pensions team.
McCaig has sector specific experience in retail, property investment and renewable energy. His transactional experience includes acting for Scottish Power in a variety of energy projects and acting for West Coast Capital in a range of property joint ventures with a value in excess of £1bn.
Devanny has specific expertise in the M&A market with particular emphasis on infrastructure having acted in the sale of Belfast City Airport and currently advising Devon County Council on the disposal of Exeter International Airport.

McGrigors now has 50 corporate lawyers across the firm and is primed to grow its business in key strategic areas.\"
McGrigors key corporate clients include: West Coast Capital (WCC), Standard Life, Scottish Power, Forth Ports, RAB Capital and Evolution Securities. McGrigors has advised WCC (Hortis) in its bid for Wyevale Garden Centres.
McGrigors has also promoted Ruth Tobias and Jennifer Adams to Pensions Directors in the Employment and Pensions team.
