Edinburgh law firm Gillespie Macandrew LLP is continuing to build on the high level of expertise it offers clients.
Its Wills, Trust and Tax expert John McArthur has received the highest qualification available to those who specialise in UK taxation – the coveted “gold standard” accolade of Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) from the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Mr McArthur explained: “The Tax Law in this country is becoming increasingly, and in some cases unnecessarily, complicated. It is fantastic to be involved in an area of law which is constantly changing and where it is possible to save significant amounts of Tax for clients especially where there seems to be an expectation from Government that we should not question things, nor do anything within the law to minimise tax liabilities, but simply pay up.”
