Matter of life & death at Burness

Burness is to host a breakfast seminar later this month which will consider the many health and safety issues faced by businesses today.
The seminar will consider the impact of the proposed corporate killing laws on organisations and provide guidance on effective management of organisational health and safety responsibilities.
The content will be of particular interest to business owners/managers with premises or potentially dangerous operations; with a particular emphasis on property, construction and manufacturing organisations. There will be presentations from partner Gavin Paton and Colin Hulme, associate of Burness\' Health and Safety unit.
The firm will host \'Health and Safety: A matter of life and death\' on 21st November at its Edinburgh office in the Clydesdale Bank Plaza, 50 Lothian Road. The seminar begins at 8am.
Burness has experienced a considerable increase in the demand for its services in managing the liability associated with fatal and serious workplace injuries. One of the firm\'s health and safety specialists, Colin Hulme, has recently advised a Westminster MP on the ramifications of the new UK corporate killing law for Scots law.
