HBJ Gateley Wareing is boosting its private client and financial services team in Edinburgh and its residential development team in Birmingham with the hire of two new associates.
Senior Associate James Aitken joins the firm’s private client and financial services team in Edinburgh from Bell & Scott. He is a tax planning specialist with a background in private client and trusts and, as well as his private client work, he will use his tax planning capabilities to support the firm’s corporate and real estate teams.
Prior to joining HBJ Gateley Wareing, James spent two years with KPMG in London, specialising in real estate taxation, and then at Maclay Murray & Spens dealing with corporate tax issues. He is also qualified in Scotland, England and the US (Illinois Bar).
