Highly regarded private equity expert, John Dennett, has come to Scotland to join the ranks of MacRoberts, the leading Scottish firm of solicitors as an associate director. Dennett, who has over 18 years experience in the law, joins the MacRoberts Corporate Group from New Zealand where he worked with the Treasury before widening his remit to all stages of business establishment, growth and exit. Following his time at the Treasury he was a corporate associate with Kensington Swan (latterly KPMG Legal). He then established his own practice, where his areas of expertise included: Private Equity/Venture Capital, MBO/MBI’s , Joint Ventures, Mergers, Acquisitions & Sales, Intellectual Property and Technology & Media. As well as experience as a non-executive director of a private company John was on the governing bodies of two technology company incubators and was a mentor under various Government programmes to numerous technology and new media companies.
