Blackmore bolsters construction and PFI at McGrigors

McGrigors has strengthened its construction and PFI group with the appointment of partner, Peter Blackmore.
Blackmore will join the firm in early May from Beachcroft where he was a construction lawyer working with a number of high-profile clients many of which are also McGrigors clients, most notably, Balfour Beatty.
He has extensive experience of infrastructure projects acting across the health, transport, and housing sectors. He has an in-depth knowledge of construction and engineering issues with experience of property development and regeneration projects. Peter\'s most recent experience includes acting on the London Aquatics Centre for the London 2012 Olympics. Joining him from Beachcroft is senior solicitor, Lynda Collett who will also start in May.
Michael Watson, Head of the firm’s Banking, Projects and Procurement team said, “We are very pleased to be welcoming someone of Peter’s calibre into the McGrigors team. He brings with him a valuable skill set suited to the core market sectors of infrastructure and PFI as well as general legal expertise. Peter Blackmore adds strength to our team resource ideally suited to both the UK market and overseas and represents an important addition to our business.”
Commenting on his move to McGrigors, Blackmore said, “I’m very much looking forward to joining the team at McGrigors and taking on this exciting opportunity. Our combined force will put McGrigors in a leading advisory position for construction projects for both the public and private sector.”
