The driver of a car that collided with a school bus carrying 28 pupils on Wednesday resulting in the death of the car driver has been identified as lawyer Veronica Banks aged just 34. The collision happened on the A9 near Ralia when the two-seater MG car Ms Banks was driving came into contact with the school bus that was carrying chldren from Kingussie out on a history field trip to Stirling. It is understood that Ms banks died instantly as a result. Ms Banks launched her own law firm two years ago in Newton Mearns, Banks & Co, after working for firms Ross Harper and Beltrami and Co in Glasgow. Ms Banks has been remembered by former colleagues as a highly respected and popular member of the legal profession. The stretch of dual carriageway where Ms banks perished has now seen seven deaths in just six months and there have been regular calls for the road to be upgraded.
