Maclay Murray & Spens (MMS) has launched a new private client practice for the north east of Scotland, headed up by tax and succession specialist Leigh Gould, a new addition to the firm’s Aberdeen office. The moves comes as chairman Michael Walker steps down to be replaced by London-based corporate partner Philip Skerrett. This latest development further strengthens the breadth of expertise available to MMS’s north-east clients, following last month’s acquisition of the corporate and property teams of Aberdeen-based firm Iain Smith & Co. Gould, who began her career as a trainee at MMS, rejoins the firm from Paull & Williamsons.
