The decision following Luke Mitchell's appeal against his conviction for the murder of teenager Jodi Jones will be read at the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday morning.
19 year old Mitchell, who was 16 at the time of his conviction, is expected to be present in court to hear the verdict, which will be delivered by a panel of three Judges, Lord Hamilton, the Lord Justice Genera, who will sit with Lord Osborne and Lord Kingarth.
The hearing will be covered once again by televison cameras, after last week's revivial of the cameras in court doctrine in the Nat Fraser hearing.
