Merger in the Northeast sees Peterkins Name Expand Reach

It has been announced that Aberdeen based Peterkins Solicitors have merged with Stuart Wilson Dickson & Co, and the combined firm will be branded as Peterkins. The merger took place on 1 May.

The merged firm will have 11 Partners and over 80 staff working from 7 offices in Aberdeen, Huntly, Inverurie and Keith & Alford.

“In a time where other firms in Aberdeen are merging with firms from the Central belt, we considered that the merger of two local firms would appeal more to clients and to the North East population," said Graham Matthews, Partner of Peterkins.

"Joining forces with Stuart Wilson Dickson & Co makes very sound business sense. Combining Huntly, Keith & Alford with Aberdeen & Inverurie is an excellent opportunity to grow a dynamic business across all areas of the law along locations off the A96. Both firms have established client bases and this will allow the marketing of all our properties throughout the North East of Scotland, together with an opportunity to grow our Financial Services Division,"

"Everyone is very excited about the future and we are having a number of events to celebrate the merger in the coming months.”
