Morton Fraser has appointed private client specialist Rory Collins to expand the services on offer to clients across the UK.
The move comes in response to the firm identifying a growing need for cross-border advice from families who need advice on legal matters both north and south of the Border.
Collins joins Morton Fraser after over ten years as a sole practitioner, following an earlier spell as a partner with London solicitors Withers, as a dual qualified consultant to specialise in offering a tailored personal service to clients in cross border issues.
“This is an exciting opportunity to share my broad previous experience and to be part of the growth at Morton Fraser as they further develop the English legal aspects of their private client practice," he said.
Private Client Divisional Manager Dorothy Kellas, added, “We are delighted to have Rory on board as he brings a great deal of additional experience and expertise to the team, which I am sure will be of great value to our clients,"
"And with more and more people having family and business interests that span the UK, it is particularly convenient and cost effective for them to have expert advice from one single source instead of having to instruct separate English and Scottish solicitors to look after their personal and business affairs.”
