D&W turnover hits £75m

Dundas & Wilson has announced a rise in revenues for the last financial year of £74.8m, a 23 per cent increase on the previous year's turnover of almost £61m.

As well as the increase in turnover, Dundas & Wilson has also made qa number of high profile appointments including the lateral hire of employment partner Robert Davies in London from Clifford Chance, and the addition of Colin Boyd QC, the former Scottish Lord Advocate, to head up its public law practice.

In addition, six new partners were promoted on May 1 2007. Total headcount at the business on April 30 this year reached 650, an increase of 55 from the previous year, 40 of whom are based in London. The numbers in the firm’s Aldwych office currently stand at
190.

Dundas & Wilson managing partner Donald Shaw said: “We’re in a good place, with strong growth across the UK and in line with our strategy, winning significant new corporate business in London. We have to thank our clients for their continued support.

“We’re always keen to bring on board new talent which will help us support our clients even more successfully across our business.

“The next year is likely to be a more complex time for the whole legal and business sector, but we have a strong foundation for further progress.”
