Russel + Aitken Falkirk has appointed Amalia Maglara as a commercial solicitor who will start with the firm on 1st July 2008.

In her previous role with Fyfe Ireland in Edinburgh, Maglara was primarily involved with the incorporation of companies working as a solicitor in the Corporate/Commercial department. Her other areas of expertise include company sales and acquisitions, employment law, and advising on trademark, IT and IP issues.

She said: "I'm very excited about starting with Russel +Aitken and I believe this is the perfect role for me  my experience and skills match the firm's profile and my specialisms will compliment the existing team¹s expertise."

Maglara, who was educated and trained in Greece, was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland in May 2008. She holds an LLM in IT and Telecoms Law from Strathclyde University and a Diploma in Business and IT Systems also from Strathclyde; and has previously worked with Pinsent Masons and William Walker & Co in Glasgow.
