New legal recruitment firm enters Scotland

International search and selection agency Ellis Fairbank has launched an office in Glasgow to serve the Scottish legal job seekers and has appointed experienced legal recruiter David Gannon to head up the new department.

With a background in IT sales and recruitment, Gannon lived in Chamonix in France for six years where he owned and ran an Indian restaurant.  Whilst in France, he met his wife, a corporate lawyer from Glasgow, and then decided to pursue a fitting career in legal recruitment back in Scotland.

David says:  "I really enjoy working in the legal recruitment sector and when the opportunity came up with Ellis Fairbank it seemed the perfect fit.

"Impressed by a former colleague of mine's exemplary skills in matching the right candidate to the right organisation, I was quick to recruit Charlene Morrison, who will be responsible for appointing paralegal and legal secretarial positions.

Laura Young, Country Director of Ellis Fairbank Scotland comments:  "David's strong understanding of what both legal professionals and companies want from candidates is apparent in the way he works.

"We have been looking to open a legal division for some time but we were waiting for the right person to head it up and David was the obvious choice. His understanding of the legal sector is second to none, which I'm sure is partly due to his other half being a top corporate lawyer."
