The WS Society's annual Falconer Business Lecture will this year be delivered by Craig Mathieson – the polar trekking accountant who entered the history books in December 2004 as the leader of the first ever Scottish expedition to the South Pole.
'Inspiration through exploration - achieve your own South Pole' is a motivational lecture whcih will be held in the Signet Library on 23 Octoberand will cover the challenge of achieving goals, overcoming obstacles and commitment required.
"This is not just a lecture or seminar – but a chance to hear Craig draw valuable parallels between his expeditions and the business world, as well as an exercise in motivational concepts that can help you release untapped creativity and potential in business and in life," the WS Society said in a statement promoting the event.
The WS Society will make a donation from the event’s income to Mathieson's charity Northen Lights Expeditions
